What to Expect

What Will be Taught...

We accept no religious authority but the divine authority of the Bible. We believe II Tim. 3:16-17  "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work".  We are simply Christians and our purpose is to follow Christ by following His teachings given through the apostles and authors in the New Testament. Therefore, the preaching and teaching you hear will be from the Bible.

What to Expect in Worship...

Our worship is simple, devout, and is presented in such a way as to draw each worshipper closer to God and to provide enduring spiritual strength.
It is our purpose to be governed in everything we do by the Bible alone. For this reason, our worship consists only of those things that the New Testament reveals were performed in the worship of the early church. Each Sunday we sing songs of praise to God (Colossians 3:16), speak to our Heavenly Father as we pray (Acts 2:42), give of our means to support the work of the church (I Corinthians 16:2), partake of the Lord's Supper in memory of Christ's death on the cross (I Corinthians 11:23-29), and teach and preach the word of God (2 Timothy 2:15).

The Singing...

Our singing, which many visitors find the most interesting and inspiring part of our worship, deserves a special word. Since the New Testament instructs Christians to sing (Ephesians 5:19), we encourage everyone in the assembly to participate in the song service. Our singing is acapella. Our visitors are often amazed at how beautiful and spiritually stirring it is when everyone lifts their voice in praise to God.

Bible Classes...

In addition to worship services on Sunday, dedicated Christians teach Bible classes for all ages each Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. In each Bible class only the Bible and Bible-centered materials will be used. We are convinced that the whole family can be greatly benefited by studying God's word.
